Floresville, Texas is a land of natural beauty, rich soil, and sparkling waters. It has a long history of being a great place to live and work, which is enhanced by its proximity to San Antonio. When Spanish settlers came to the area looking to establish “ranchos” along the San Antonio River, they stumbled upon the scenic town of Floresville.

Floresville History

Floresville is named after Don Francisco Flores de Abrego, a rancher who built a residence about six miles northwest of modern-day Floresville in 1832. In 1833, the current boundaries of Floresville were created when the Flores family donated the land for the town. Floresville became the seat of Wilson County in 1885.
